Interview Scorecards

Turn interview notes into evidence HR can review.

Without a scorecard, every interviewer evaluates candidates differently. One focuses on technical depth, another on culture fit, a third on enthusiasm. The result is a hiring decision driven by whoever shouts loudest in the debrief. Kippler gives every interviewer the same structured scorecard — tailored to the candidate and the role. Paste notes or a text transcript to generate a structured assessment and scorecard. Notes remain editable with retained revision history. Hiring managers can contribute their own decision draft; HR controls candidate-facing feedback and approval.

The problem with unstructured debriefs

When interviewers walk into a debrief with different impressions and no shared framework, the loudest voice wins. Candidates are compared on gut feel rather than evidence. Strong performers who were quiet in the interview get overlooked. The hiring decision becomes harder, not easier.

How Kippler helps

Kippler generates an interview scorecard as part of every full assessment. The scorecard is tailored to the role and the candidate — it lists the competencies to evaluate and gives every interviewer the same structure to capture their judgement.

  • Scorecard competencies derived from the role and the CV
  • Consistent scoring scale so interviewers evaluate the same things
  • Space to capture evidence — what the candidate said, not just a number
  • Works alongside the tailored interview plan
  • Use the scorecard during the interview and the debrief

Frequently asked questions

Is the scorecard the same for every candidate?

No. The scorecard is generated from the CV and the job description. Different roles produce different competencies on the scorecard, and the evidence areas are specific to what is in each candidate’s CV.

Can I use the scorecard without the interview plan?

The scorecard is part of the full assessment. You can use it independently during the interview, but it is designed to work alongside the tailored interview plan so the competencies you score are the ones the plan tells you to probe.

Does Kippler score the candidate automatically?

No. Kippler provides the structure — the competencies and the scoring scale. You fill in the scores based on what the candidate said in the interview. Kippler does not make the hiring decision.

Can I compare scorecards across multiple candidates?

Yes. All assessed candidates are saved to your database, where you can compare them side by side and share a shortlist with your team.
